Year 3 children had the opportunity to learn the art of weaving, giving them a hands-on experience of how the Anglo-Saxons prepared their clothing. They began by practising card weaving, getting the hang of the technique. Once they felt confident, they moved on to weaving fabric which they had dyed in a previous lesson. This activity not only taught them an important historical skill but also helped them understand how the Anglo-Saxons created their clothing using traditional methods. 

The children thoroughly enjoyed bringing history to life through this practical, creative learning experience.
