Year 4 Back Stage Tour at the Royal Ballet Opera, High House Production
This week, the Year 4 children had the exciting opportunity to go on a backstage tour at the Royal Ballet and Opera’s High House Production. They explored areas typically hidden from audiences, learning about set design, costume creation, and the technical aspects of a performance. The children saw how costumes are crafted, how lighting and sound are coordinated, and how props are used. They also had the chance to meet professionals working behind the scenes, such as costume designers and stage managers. This experience gave them a greater appreciation for the hard work and teamwork involved in creating a production.
